Frequent Mowing helps a lawn resist weeds, insects and disease. Infrequent mowing causes too much grass to be removed at one time. Infrequently mowed grass also produces a lawn that looks thin, spotty, or burned. As a rule of thumb, we never cut more than one-third of the length of your grass at a time.

Mowing Height: Most cool season grass types such as fescue and bluegrass have a recommended cutting height between 2 and 3 inches. We generally cut grass at 3 inches because a lawn cut at this height will have a deeper root system and be more resistant to weeds and disease than shorter cut grass.

We'd like to think you can spot a great mowing company but the beautiful lines they leave after mowing. Countryside Maintenance cuts each lawn in a straight line whenever possible. We also mow a different direction each time we visit your property. This attention to detail insures your lawn will be stronger and healthier during the whole season. ADDED EXTRAS FOR OUR LAWN MOWING SERVICES

SHARP BLADES: We sharpen our blades daily. Mower blades that are dull will make your lawn look uneven and also make your grass look jagged. Dull blades will also make your lawn more susceptible to disease. By maintaining sharp blades we help prevent such things from occurring.

GRASS BLOCKERS: We use grass blockers on our mowers to ensure that grass blown from our mower decks is reduced to a minimum. Grass discharge clippings in mulch and flower beds can encourage weed development and fungus growth. By using grass blockers, we help prevent this contamination from occurring.

CLEAN EQUIPMENT: We clean our equipment before leaving every job site to prevent lawn to lawn weed contamination. What is lawn to lawn weed contamination? This is when the top parts on the mower deck are not cleaned off and the grass clippings build up and contain weed seeds. If not cleaned off properly the clippings can fall off and the weed seeds can start germinating in your lawn.
